And now for all those who are wondering why I chose to study Japanese. . .
I guess the main reasons why I chose to take Japanese this semester were that with my heavy course load of engineering classes, I really wanted an interactive intro level class like Japanese (Whoo Hoo!), and that although I took a semester of Japanese three years ago, I've basically forgotten everything -_-.
I am definitely excited to continue learning Japanese, and hopefully at the end of this semester, I'll be more proficient than ever.
I also really like Japanese woodblock prints (like the one shown below) and playing Taiko! And hopefully, with additional skill of being able to speak, read, and write Japanese, I'll be able to gain a greater understanding for the Japanese culture through the stories behind these prints and through interactions with other Taiko players.
